Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1979. Obinna attended primary school in Lagos, secondary school in Kwara, before doing A-Levels and university in the UK, in London and Reading, respectively.
In the 2000s, he worked as a copywriter, HR administrator and office administrator before entering the media as a TV producer for Channels Television in 2009. There, he co-produced over 300 episodes of their current affairs program Sunrise Daily. Obinna also worked as a scriptwriter and producer until 2017 on such TV shows as drama Tinsel, comedy Meet the Adebanjos, shopping show Bargain Hunters and celebrity chat show Fashion 360.
In 2017, he founded Worktainment Limited originally as a talent management and TV production company before transitioning fully being a public relations business in 2019.
Between 2019 until the present, Worktainment has managed the personal brands of several Nigerian celebrities, CEOs, businesses and public figures.

- Helping the company brand of Kawai Technologies, a supply chain management company, become listed by the UK’s Financial Times as one of Africa’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
- Between 2017 and 2019, he made the celebrity brand of Simi Drey, a British-Nigerian actress and TV presenter, more visible and in-demand in the Nigerian entertainment business.
