Amne Suedi is an international lawyer, investment adviser, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of law, capital, and Africa’s economic transformation. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Shikana Group and Swiss Shikana Investment and Advisory, firms based in Tanzania, East Africa and Switzerland, that advise international investors, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs on entering and expanding across East and Southern African markets.
With over a decade of experience in investment structuring, market entry strategy, and cross-border legal advisory, Amne has facilitated more than USD 300 million in investments across the region. Her work has involved advising global companies, development finance institutions, and governments on complex transactions, regulatory frameworks, and strategic partnerships in emerging markets.
Before founding Shikana, she worked in Switzerland’s financial sector with firms including Capital Dynamics and Pictet Group. She holds an LL.M. in International Finance and Trade Law from University College London and is a lawyer in Switzerland, Tanzania, and Zanzibar.
Amne currently serves as Chairperson of the Switzerland–Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and has been appointed to the core team drafting Tanzania’s National Vision 2050. In 2025, she was also appointed Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Zanzibar.
